Self-Portraits (2023 - ongoing)

This series of self-portraits was begun after the artist’s first year of emigration and continues across several years of life in displacement. The artists uses self-portraiture to observe how inner experience and self-perception shift over time under the pressure of historical events and prolonged absence of place. Each work adopts a distinct visual language, with changes in manner and brushwork registering different psychological states. Refusing stylistic continuity or narrative resolution, the series resists coherence as a whole; accumulation replaces closure , allowing instability and re-formation to remain visible rather than resolved.
